Description

A classic creamy and crunchy green bean casserole, perfect for holiday gatherings or family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (10 ounces) Campbell’s® Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 cups cooked or canned green beans (drained)
  • 1 1/3 cups crispy fried onions (divided)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 1½-quart casserole dish or use a 9×9-inch baking dish for even cooking.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, stir together the Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom Soup, milk, soy sauce, and pepper. This creamy blend is the heart of the casserole and brings everything together.
  3. Fold in the cooked or canned green beans and 2/3 cup of the crispy fried onions. Stir gently until everything is coated evenly with the soup mixture.
  4. Pour the mixture into your prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly. Bake for 25 minutes, or until the mixture is hot and bubbling.
  5. Remove the casserole from the oven and sprinkle the remaining fried onions over the top. Return it to the oven and bake for another 5 minutes, or until the onions are golden and crispy.
  6. Let the casserole cool slightly before serving. The top should be crisp, and the inside creamy and tender.

Notes

  • This casserole can be made ahead of time and baked just before serving.
  • Feel free to add additional seasonings or ingredients such as cheese for an extra kick.
