Description

Delicious fried Oreo pancakes that are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, perfect for a sweet treat!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups complete pancake mix (just add water) (plus more if needed for thickening)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 20 Double Stuff Oreo Cookies
  • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil (plus more for frying)
  • powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Heat 3 inches of oil in a deep pot, Dutch oven, or deep fryer to 375ºF.
  2. Combine pancake mix, egg, milk, vanilla, and 2 teaspoons vegetable oil in a large bowl. If thin, add more pancake mix, 1 tablespoon at a time, until thickened.
  3. Dip each Oreo into the batter, then place in the oil. Cook for 3-4 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown all over.
  4. Remove from oil and place on paper towels to drain.
  5. Move the Oreos on a serving plate and sift powdered sugar over the top. Serve immediately while they are still hot and crispy.

Notes

  • For thicker pancakes, adjust the amount of pancake mix as needed.
  • Ensure oil is at the right temperature for best frying results.
