Description
A creamy and savory green bean casserole topped with crispy fried onions, perfect for holidays or family gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 can (10 ounces) Campbell’s® Cream of Mushroom Soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 cups cooked or canned green beans (drained)
- 1 1/3 cups crispy fried onions (divided)
Instructions
-
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 1½-quart casserole dish or use a 9×9-inch baking dish for even cooking.
-
In a large mixing bowl, stir together the Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom Soup, milk, soy sauce, and pepper. This creamy blend is the heart of the casserole and brings everything together.
-
Fold in the cooked or canned green beans and 2/3 cup of the crispy fried onions. Stir gently until everything is coated evenly with the soup mixture.
-
Pour the mixture into your prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly. Bake for 25 minutes, or until the mixture is hot and bubbling.
-
Remove the casserole from the oven and sprinkle the remaining fried onions over the top. Return it to the oven and bake for another 5 minutes, or until the onions are golden and crispy.
-
Let the casserole cool slightly before serving. The top should be crisp, and the inside creamy and tender.
Notes
- This casserole can be prepared ahead of time and refrigerated before baking.
- For added flavor, consider sprinkling some grated cheese on top before the final bake.
